Q Me?

"Now this I'm particularly proud of..."
I just figured out one of the James Bond features on the Highlander: the button that functions as a built-in garage door remote. I successfully transferred the code from the ugly old remote to the button all by myself, freeing one of the hidden cup holders up front (the other holds lip gloss).

The whole process took approximately 2 minutes from the time I opened the glove box to retrieve the owner's manual. Without leaving the comfort of my car, all I had to do was push two buttons and voila! (It only took me two months. I'm gonna get my friend to do hers now because she's been driving around like that for years... so embarrassing.)

I can't tell you how pleased that little button makes me. Because with all the money gone to cars this Spring, I'm determined to enjoy every ridiculously frivolous perk. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll use the bun warmers.

I still cannot figure out how to properly use my GPS navigation on my 7 year old luxury SUV. Two days ago, when I was downtown trying to get to the Center for Hearing and Speech, I had to phone Greg at work to look up a map online to talk me in. He said he felt like mission control. Mary was in the car, too. We are just not as technologically advanced as the car I drive. I did, just recently, figure out how to operate the rear window windshield wiper, though.... Good luck to you.
