Lots of fun beaches - definitely a must. Have you done Santa Monica Pier? Disneyland is always fun. I didn't like Universal Studios... but maybe I'm just lame. We lived in Long Beach - The Queen Mary and LB Aquarium are touristy, but fun. Catalina Island is awesome. LOVE San Diego.
Didn't address Utah - we'll be heading out there as well to take Amanda to BYU. We plan to hike to the "Y" and do some of the fun summer activities at Snowbird (tram and alpine slide).
